Pro Team is still the ONLY fleet in Mazatlan committed to a total catch and release policy for billfish.  Do we lose business because of this policy? Rarely.  We find that most sport fishermen are already committed to catch and release.  Mazatlan’s sailfish and marlin population is considered among the highest in the world.  We do all we can to keep it that way.  Fast-growing prolific fish like Mahi mahi (“Dorado” in Mexico) and yellowfin tuna are not so lucky and often end up on a dinner plate or in a cooler headed back to your home.
