July 3, 2008 Summer is off to a good start with the strong return of sails. Good catches in the 90 to 100 inch range, with from 1 to 3 releases per trip. Dorado have been plentiful for several weeks with some large ones weighing in at 35 to 45 pounds. Most are medium-sized from 15 to 30 pounds with many small ″schoolies″ adding to the excitement on light tackle. A few yellowfin being caught and that number should increase dramatically over the next month. Blue marlin are just now making their appearance and with luck we'll have them back in numbers to match last summer when we were releasing a little more than one per trip.
